Types Of Virtual Reality

There are many headsets to choose from, such as the Oculus Rift S, HTC Vive, Playstation Vr, Oculus Quest, and other low quality headsets such as google cardboard, Gear Vr and Google Daydream.

Oculus Rift S

The Oculus Rift S is the best Vr headset after HTC's headsets, and is also the more affordable approach to Computer run Vr. It has 6DoF (Six Degrees Of Freedom), which bacically means that it detects your head's and controller's movements through sensors so that the Vr is much more realistic, without it, all you would be able to do is look around without moving.

Oculus Quest

The Oculus Quest is a completly standalone headset while still being very high quality, that means that you dont need anything else to use it, not even a phone, this makes it extremely portable as well. Due to the fact that it dosent rely on anything else means that the Rift S and HTC Vive are better than it. Even though there are no external sensors used with the Quest, it still has 6DoF.

HTC Vive

The HTC Vive is well known as the best headset available today, though it is extremely expensive. It has 6DoF

PlayStation Vr

PlayStation Vr, though not as good as Oculus or HTC headsets, is still a good type of vr to get, especially if you have a PlayStation 4 and dont have a powerful computer since it uses the Playstation 4 console instead of a computer. It unfortunately doesn't have 6DoF though.

Samsung Gear Vr

Samsung's Gear Vr is used with a phone instead of a computer which means that it is very portable and cheap compared to computer run headsets, though it is also nowhere near as good quality as the headsets that do use computers.

Google Daydream

The Google Daydream headset is very similar to Samsung's Gear Vr as they both have similar costs, use a phone instead of a computer, and have one controller.

Google Cardboard

Even though Google Cardboard is literaly just a piece of cardboard that you put your phone into to make Vr, its not that bad for its extremly low price.
